Do you or someone you know struggle with skin, respiratory, mood, or digestive issues? If so, it may be time to take care of your digestive system!
In this interactive two-part workshop, you’ll learn how to repair and restore your gut health from culinary nutrition expert Rachel Druckenmiller, MS, and head alchemists at Hex Ferments, Meaghan and Shane Carpenter. During part one, Rachel will discuss how your digestive system can influence all aspects of your health, sharing what she has learned from her own healing journey.
She will share proper digestion tips using the four Rs of gut repair (remove, replace, repair, restore) that can help prevent chronic conditions and treat health symptoms along with serving up delicious gut healthy recipes you can try at home.
Then in part two you will explore the science, and history of fermented food with Meaghan & Shane Carpenter, co-founders of HEX Ferments, a Baltimore based fermented foods company, will be leading the workshop on how to make your own fermented vegetables at home. Come prepared to roll up your sleeves and make your own Sauerkraut and kimchi recipe to take home!
