Smoothies are a great way to add in lots of fruits, vegetables and super foods to your diet. They really pack a nutrient punch…and taste delicious!
You can enjoy them for breakfast, as a snack or as another meal during the day to give your digestive system a break.
Kids love them, too. Throw in a handful or two of fresh baby spinach to make any smoothie “green” and boost its nutrients (without impacting the flavor). My friend Christina tells her kids the spinach or other greens are “dinosaur leaves” and it makes them want to use them! Very clever 🙂
One of my favorite things about smoothies is that they satisfy that cold and creamy craving many us have for things like ice cream…but without all of the downsides of dairy!
